I was really hesitant to play this game since I felt like there was so much to catch up on, what’s with the long line of Hakuoki titles. Even with the two new titles, it was hard for me to know what was the difference between Kyoto Winds and Edo Blossoms. But my curiosity won and I’m so glad I played the game.

At first glance, I thought I randomly grouped this three together because there’s no other grouping for them lol. But in a closer look, these three are somewhat similar to each other. They all have this difficult to approach aura. Yes. Even the seemingly kind Sanan. So let’s start with him!
Things can get spoilery so proceed with caution!

Shinjuku turns into a dangerous place as a series of incidents happen every month. The group called Adonis is behind these events referred to X-Day cases.
The protagonist is Hoshino Ichika, a newbie policewoman who does what she can for her job. While in the middle of doing her work, someone attacks her and she wakes up with a collar. Yanagi Aiji, Sasazuka Takeru, and Enomoto Mineo, former police officers who investigate the X-Day cases, found her. They all learned that to remove the collar, they must discover the truth behind the X-Day events before the big day which will happen at the start of the new year. Hoshino has to work with the guys to save her life and eventually, Shinjuku, without telling the police or else she dies.
I wondered what’s with all the hype in this game and now I know why. I walked in completely clueless about it and walked out full of despair. But I did not regret it. I wanted to learn more about the mansion, the characters, everything and felt frustrated when the other characters won’t even say anything to Beniyuri. But when the truth came out, I was bawling and was like “my babies T_____T, please be happy. All of you.”
I TRIED TO KEEP THIS SPOILER-FREE BUT FAILED. YOU’VE BEEN WARNED.

D3P had a sale on their otome games and the discount is up to 80% off for some of their games but only 50% off for Hyakka Hyakurou Sengoku Ninpou-chou. I’ve been wanting to play this game ever since I heard that Teita’s doing the art but somehow kept pushing this in the far back of my backlog. Now I have no excuse not to get this with the recent sale! (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧
